Student advocate Kason Little is running for a seat on the Elizabeth Board of Education.
A senior at Elizabeth High School, 18, Little has a platform of empowering other young people, so they too “can also get involved and make a difference,” he told InsiderNJ.
“Running for the Elizabeth Board of Education is not a stepping stone for me, it’s a calling,” said the candidate.
“Ever since the age of 12, my plans after graduating high school were not only continuing my education majoring in Political Science/Government but to stay in the city I love and adore dearly, and give back to community,” Little told InsiderNJ. “The main pillars of my platform are: bring transparency, increase student input in decision-making, address corruption in Education.
“I hope that my story inspires you to not let your surroundings dictate who you can become and to rise up and make a change,” he added.
