CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – Senate Minority Leader Tom Kean, Jr. (R-21) wasn’t the only congressional candidate in the room tonight at this battleground debate forum in LD1.
Beaming in the crowd, Kean wants the seat currently occupied by U.S. Rep. Tom Malinowski (D-7).
Businessman David Richter was also present in support of theLD1 candidacy of Vineland attorney Mike Testa, the Cumberland GOP chairman. “Hoity toity, what does that mean? Who even says that anymore?” said Richter, when asked about the comment made by incumbent U.S. Rep. Jeff Van Drew (D-2).
“I have some friends in Princeton,” the Republican admitted.
If Richter wants to get to Van Drew, he’ll have to first get through Bob Patterson, who was also in the room, along with former state Senator Nick Asselta (R-1).
Asselta backs Patterson in the 2020 GOP Primary.
