21 Republican Leaders Endorse Bengivenga for Middlesex County Chair
Rob Bengivenga, a five term councilman from South Plainfield, announced today the endorsement from 21 republican leaders in his bid to become the next Chair of the Middlesex County Republican Organization.
Bengivenga’s endorsements from republican leaders include: Former Governor Donald DiFrancesco, State Senator Sam Thompson (representing Old Bridge), State Senator Kip Bateman (representing South Brunswick), Current MCRO Chair Lucille Panos , Mayor Jason Cilento- Dunellen, Mayor John Krenzel- South River, Mayor John Madden- Middlesex Borough, Mayor Matthew Anesh-South Plainfield, Sylvia Engel- Current MCRO Vice Chair and Edison Chair, John Vrtaric- Woodbridge Chair, Charles DiPierro- Monroe Chair, Donna Roberts- Sayreville Chair, Bryan Li- Acting East Brunswick Chair, Teresa Hutchison- South River Chair, Steve Greco- Middlesex Boro Chair, Harry Buttito- Dunellen Chair, Sue Hucko- North Brunswick Chair, Antonia Kulberda- South Brunswick Chair and current MCRO Secretary, Brajesh Singh- Piscataway Chair, April Bengivenga- South Plainfield Chair and State Committeewoman, Don Katz- State Committeeman
Bengivenga (38) was first elected to the South Plainfield Council at the age of 23 and has successfully won five terms to the borough council, despite having a 2-1 disadvantage in voter registration. He also ran for State Assembly in the 18th Legislative District in 2013 and 2019.
“I am humbled by the support of my fellow republic leaders,” said Bengivenga. “I am eager to start working with all republicans throughout Middlesex County, so that we, together can build an organization and secure more victories throughout the county.”
