We know that Democrats do early voting better than Republicans.

The polls closed about 45 minutes ago and Democrats have big, but perhaps, misleading leads in key congressional races.

For instance, Mikie Sherrill is getting 80 percent of the vote in CD-11, mostly from Essex County.

If she doesn’t win big there, it’s going to be a contest.

In the marquee match-up in CD-7, Tom Malinowski is getting 64 percent of the vote.

Democrats Josh Gottheimer and Andy Kim are doing similarly well – leading their GOP opponents by something ridiculous like 50 percentage points.

This is like scoring four runs in the top of the first inning.

You know the lead is going to shrink, or even vanish. But it’s better to be ahead than behind.
