Additional Case of COVID-19 Identified In Camden County

(Gloucester Township, NJ) –The Camden County Department of Health is announcing one additional positive case of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. A trace investigation is being facilitated with the patient and remains ongoing.

“This fight is a long way from over, but we want to thank the people of Camden County who are taking this threat seriously and doing everything they can to stay home, limit their exposure to others, and reduce the spread of this disease,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “At the same time, it is important to recognize that more cases will be confirmed in the coming days and weeks because of the slowly increasing availability of testing. This does not mean that social distancing measures are not working. Staying home is our best course of action to stay healthy and save lives.”

The following information is currently available regarding new patients:

New Patient 1: Male, 50s, Winslow Township. Self-isolating at home.

The county Health Department is currently working with the NJDOH to trace close contacts of this newest case. The investigation is still ongoing, and we will update the public with new developments as the information is gathered by our investigators.

The county has 11 cases as of 1:30pm on Friday, according to the NJDOH; on Friday evening, the county announced an additional four cases, bringing the total to 15.
