From Gloucester County:

The Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders, Department of Health and Human Services and Office of Emergency Management have announced the sixth positive COVID-19 case in Gloucester County. As of Sunday afternoon, the case count in the county is 8, according to the NJDOH.

The patient is a 34-year-old male from Washington Township who is self-isolating at home. He has no travel history.

The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts this individual had.

In addition to the New Jersey Department of Health, Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services has been working closely with the Gloucester County Office of Emergency Management to prepare for and respond to COVID-19. At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low.

Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. Please continue to practice social distancing to protect yourself, your family and the community.
