Akunne: ‘The American Dream is Alive and Well’

An immigrant of Nigeria who worked as a janitor and in warehouses when he came to this country over 30 years ago and persevered to educate himself, Neme G. Akunne this afternoon received the backing of the Senate Judiciary Committee to be a Judge of the Division of Workers’ Compensation.

A member of the New Jersey Bar, Akunne in his legal work focuses on workers compensationpersonal injury, PIP and Municipal practice.

Neme earned a Juris Doctor degree form Rutgers School of Law, Newark. He also received his Bachelor of Arts degree is Political Science with “high honors” from Rutgers University.

“The American Dream is alive and well,” Akunne said.
