Assemblywoman Angela V. McKnight, Chair of the Assembly Homeland Security and State Preparedness Committee, issued the following statement in regard to Hurricane Ida:

“As Chair of the Assembly Homeland Security and State Preparedness Committee, I encourage everyone to follow ready.nj.gov for updates, tips and resources about emergency management.  It is vital that the residents of New Jersey are able to prepare for severe weather, power outages and understand the different roads toward recovery after powerful storm surges.

“Thank you to all of the first responders, neighbors, and every person who helped those in need during this tragic storm.  Our State is one that does not waiver, and it is proven by all of those who are tirelessly working to help New Jersey recover from the damage we have seen.  My thoughts and prayers go out to all of those affected by the hurricane, and to the families of those who lost their lives.”
