Atlantic County COVID-19 Testing to be Held April 14 & 16

Atlantic County

Atlantic County will open its COVID-19 drive-thru test site to symptomatic county residents on Tuesday, April 14 and Thursday, April 16, 10 AM to 1 PM. Residents will need to provide a doctor’s script; verification of residency, such as a driver’s license or utility bill; and confirmation of appointment.

Residents can begin making appointments as of 8 AM on Friday, April 10, by visiting the county web site at www.aclink.org and clicking on the COVID-19 Testing link.

Testing will be conducted behind the Hamilton Mall, 4403 E. Black Horse Pike, Mays Landing.

Individuals who are not experiencing symptoms of respiratory illness will not be able to be tested. According to state officials, resources are limited and must be reserved for those who are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.

Test results will be provided to the Atlantic County Division of Public Health and the physician who writes the script. All residents who are tested will be notified of their results by public health staff within one week, depending upon the volume of tests being processed by the lab.

The county held testing for first responders and healthcare workers earlier today.

County Executive Dennis Levinson acknowledged the hard work of his own employees in the Division of Public Health, Office of Emergency Preparedness and Public Works as well as the support of the Sheriff’s Office, AtlantiCare, Shore Medical Center and Hamilton Mall.

“We put together a great team in a relatively short period of time who are all extremely dedicated to providing this important service to our residents,” he stated. “They have our utmost respect and sincere gratitude,” said Levinson.
