Barba Bows out of Bergen Commissioners’ Race
Linda Barba won’t run for Bergen County Commissioner after all.
Her statement:
“Please be advised that I am writing to formally withdraw my candidacy for the position of Bergen County Commissioner on behalf of the Republican Party in the upcoming election. I have found the lack of support, communication, and transparency from BCRO Chairman Jack Zisa too much to overcome even at this stage of the process. It was an overwhelming disappointment to have found out by reading an article in the globe that another republican candidate for commissioner recently withdrew from the race. Common courtesy would dictate that the BCRO Chairman in this case Jack Zisa should have informed the remaining candidates, no such notification was made. After careful consideration of the actions of BCRO Chairman Jack Zisa, together with the lack of experience of Mr. Zisa’s hand picked potential running mates, I have decided to step back as a candidate at this time.
“I want to express my sincere gratitude to my supporters who believed in my vision for a better Bergen County. Thank you once again for your support and understanding. I am still committed to supporting Republicans.

Lack of experience, if that isn’t the pot calling the kettle black! She literally just used the seat so that she could slander somebody who other people are trying to overthrow and their complete jealousy of not being liked by the party, they try and blame on one person. It’s not the chairman, it’s every decent Republican who doesn’t want these people to run and won’t give them support because they are self-serving! Just more proof that these Splinter groups are a useless waste of time and that people will keep on supporting the only organization for Bergen County, the BCRO. These habitual losing candidates who keep making excuses, are pathetic! Good riddance!
For someone who has never met me or spent time with me and does not know me at ALL – Miss Schellenberger – I seem to take up real estate in your head as I have been the target of your
angry non factual attacks on me for some time now! I am more than happy to meet with you at anytime so you can meet me and realize your comments are so far fetched and are could not be any further from the truth!
