From approximately 1995 thru 2005 my family would check into a small Inn on Gasparillo Island in Florida. The day after Christmas we would always check in about 2 p.m. and the entire Bush Family was on the same schedule.  Observing them was quite an experience, especially since my children are close in age with George W’s daughters.  The sons of President 41 would be at the pool and pretty much relaxing with the other guests.  And you could tell that when mom (Barbara Bush) arrived they all froze in position. The chatter stopped and the real Boss had arrived. 

She was strong, tough and had integrity.  Presidents and Governors waited for their instructions or advice.

Barbara would speak to her husband and sons and than would continue on with her walk with her dog. Always  with one secret service agent 50 yards behind. 

Barbara Bush was a true leader.  

She will be missed.
