KEARNY – There was some early drama around Bayonne.

When a bus pulled up with 35 people in it, the Stack people jeered.

But it turns out that most of the maritime peninsular backers of Amy Degise raced over the swamplands in their personal cars.

“We have over 90 committee people here,” Vice Chair Erica Daughtrey told InsiderNJ.

Pro DeGise people?

“Yes,” Daughtrey said.

Mayor Jimmy Davis hovered nearby as DeGise herself worked the tables.

“Ninety-six,” said Bayonne BA Joe Demarco as he dashed past.
