The Bergen Record Backs Ciattarelli in the GOP Gubernatorial Primary

Former EPA Regional Administrator Alan J. Steinberg argues that there is hope for the New Jersey Republican Party to capture the governorship in 2021 if former Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli is the nominee, provided he can overcome the anti-Republican landscape prevailing in the Garden State.

The Bergen Record today endorsed Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli for Governor in the GOP Primary.

From the editorial:

Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli does not have the same Republican Party machine backing as does [Kim] Guadagno, but he is doing much better than expected. That’s because he is offering bold ideas. He wants to restructure the school funding formula so districts like Hoboken – once a special-needs district but now flush with property tax revenue – pays its fair share. It’s common sense. It should be done.
