Bergen Sheriff Cureton Announces Executive Team

This afternoon, Bergen County Sheriff Anthony Cureton’s team of executive officers were sworn-in at a public ceremony at Two Bergen County Plaza. His team includes Executive Undersheriff Vincent Quatrone, Undersheriffs Jin Sung Kim and David Borzotta, and Chief Warrant Officer Cora Taylor.
Sheriff Cureton said: “I am confident in my selection of this distinguished group. We have comprised a team of qualified individuals who are representative of our diverse Bergen County community with over 100 years of experience across the law enforcement profession. My team and I are dedicated to bringing people together to solve problems and keep our families safe.”
Executive Undersheriff Vincent Quatrone is the former Police Chief of the Lodi Police Department and has more than 28 years of experience in law enforcement. He has a Master’s degree from Seton Hall University and reached the rank of lieutenant commander with the US Navy reserve. After 9/11, Undersheriff Quatrone was deployed twice with the US Navy and is a Veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. As Chief, he was active in the Bergen County Police Chief’s Association and served as a commanding officer of the Bergen County Rapid Deployment Force.
Undersheriff Jin Sung Kim is a 25 year veteran of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office. During his career at BCPO, he completed tours in various investigative and administrative sections within the office, including Criminal Investigations Section (CIS), specializing in gambling, organized crime, and public corruption; Grand Jury Investigations Section; Juvenile Section; Property/Evidence & and the Asset Forfeiture Unit. Undersheriff Kim has a Juris Doctorate (JD) from Rutgers School of Law-Newark. He is a founding member and the past president of the Korean American Law-Enforcement Association of New Jersey (KALEANJ). He will be the first Korean-American to ever serve as Undersheriff for the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office.
Undersheriff David Borzotta is a 25 year veteran of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office who retired in 2017 as Captain of Detectives. During his career with the Prosecutor’s office, Borzotta served as an Undercover Narcotics Detective for 12 years, had a 2-year assignment at the DEA Newark Field Division, and served as Lieutenant of the BCPO Narcotics Task Force. Borzotta has worked to educate students about the dangers of opioid abuse and played an important role in developing “Operation Helping Hands,” a coordinated effort between the law enforcement community and the Recovery and Medical communities in an effort to combat the spread of Opiates in Bergen County. Undersheriff Borzotta has a Master’s Degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
Chief Warrant Officer Cora Taylor is a veteran of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s office who retired in 2016 as Detective Lieutenant. During her career with the Prosecutor’s office, Taylor served on the Special Victim’s Unit where she conducted high profile investigations of sex crime and child abuse. She subsequently worked for Internal Affairs and was then promoted to Detective Lieutenant where she was responsible for supervising criminal investigations. Chief Warrant Officer Taylor has a Bachelor’s Degree from William Paterson University.
