Bloomfield Mayor and Municipal Chair, Members of Township Council and Bloomfield Democratic County Committee Support Irvington Council President Renee Burgess to Fill Vacant Senate Seat in LD28

Bloomfield Mayor and Bloomfield Democratic County Committee Municipal Chairperson Michael Venezia, along with six members of the township council and the Bloomfield Democratic County Committee, today announced support for Irvington Council President Renee Burgess to fill the vacant state senate seat in LD28.

The group collectively states, “Council President Burgess has a long history of public service and excellent track record of advocacy for her constituents, understands local issues that impact the district, and demonstrates a keen understanding of the function of good government, as is evidenced through her long tenure of civil service both politically and professionally. For these reasons and many more, we believe Council President Burgess will be a strong and fair representative in the New Jersey State Senate and we offer her our full support.”
