Booker Defends Twitter as Messaging Device, Slams Trump the Messenger

NEWTON – Long a purveyor of the literary medium of Twitter, U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) refused to say that he would ditch his handle if he ever becomes president, when InsiderNJ asked him this morning at a ribbon cutting if President Donald J. Trump had irreversibly damaged tweeting as an Oval Office communications delivery system.

“I don’t think that twitter itself is unpresidential,” Booker said. “I think what he’s tweeting is demeaning and degrading. The things that he tweets are unacceptable – the baseless lies that come out of his Twittter, so it’s not the medium it’s the message and clearly the messenger that are not presidential.”
