Assembly Republican Leader Jon Bramnick announced the appointment of two members to GOP caucus leadership Thursday.

Assemblyman Christopher DePhillips was named deputy Republican leader. He takes over for Holly Schepisi, who moved up to the state Senate in March. DePhillips has served in the Assembly since 2018.

“I’m honored Leader Bramnick has asked me to join our caucus’s leadership team and look forward to implementing our vision into action,” DePhillips (R-Bergen) said.

Bramnick also named Kevin J. Rooney as deputy Republican whip. He has been an Assemblyman since December 2016.

“I’m grateful to serve our party and the residents our of great state in this larger leadership role,” Rooney (R-Bergen) said.

Both assemblymen serve District 40.

“Chris and Kevin bring years of knowledge and hard work to our caucus leadership team,” Bramnick (R-Bergen) said. “I cannot commend them enough.”
