Bramnick to Hold Campaign Fundraiser with former Speaker Boehner

Assembly Minority Leader Jon Bramnick said the NJ Legislature must stay in session this summer to take care of the state’s unaddressed issues.

While the other GOP 2025 Primary candidates are falling all over themselves to get the attention of Marjorie Taylor Greene, state Senator Jon Bramnick has an upcoming campaign cocktail reception scheduled with former House Speaker John Boehner of Ohio.

On the schedule for Dec. 2nd in Naples, Florida, the fundraising event for Bramnick’s gubernatorial candidacy has $$2K, $1K, and $250 slots for guests looking to support the statewide candidacy of the veteran Republican lawmaker from Union County.

Boehner served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1991 to 2015 and as Speaker from 2011 to 2015.

According to The American Conservative, he is among several retired Republican politicians who in 2022 created an organization, “Our Republican Legacy,” to promote neoconservatism and oppose the former President Donald Trump.  “The group, which was announced in a Washington Post op-ed by former Senators John Danforth, William Cohen (who was also Secretary of Defense under Bill Clinton), and Alan Simpson, aims to provide “resistance” and “credible leadership with sufficient funding” to oppose populism. The group notably includes… former Vice-President Dan Quayle, former RNC Chairman Michael Steele, and former Representative Adam Kinzinger as some of its founding members.”

  1. While I applaud the Republican leadership who still prize conservative values instead of kissing up to Trump, I do find it funny that while he was house speaker he fought to keep marijuana illegal he almost immediately became a major power in marijuana business. The first company allowed in NJ, down in South Jersey, was part of his group. ‘“Boehner is on the board of Acreage Holdings, which announced a $3.4 billion acquisition deal with Canopy Growth, the world’s most valuable weed company.
That’s right: John Boehner—who said in 2011 that he was “unalterably opposed to the legalization of marijuana”— is now all-in for Big Weed. “

  2. This says it all. Bramnick to fund raise with Speaker Boehner. Is this the same Speaker Boehner who was/is the drunk alcoholic who liked to cry on TV??? Is this the same Speaker Boehner who is a major RINO that would vote for anyone who paid him off??? Pulllease tell me it’s not so!!!!! Boehner was the Speaker that ruined the Republican Party during his reign. They all became RINO eunuchs under his administration. Boehner said he would cross the aisle to work with the Democrats, while the Democrats were shoving their Marxist agendas down American taxpayers’ throats.

If Boehner is supporting Bramnick, New Jerseyans need to find another Gubernatorial candidate who won’t “sell them down the river”. Otherwise, New Jerseyans better plan on selling their homes and leaving the state. Bramnick won’t do anything for Republicans or conservatives. He’ll genuflect to the Democrats. Bramnick is a lawyer. Chris Christie is a lawyer. Most lawyers lean left. Chris Christie is the one who recommended Deep State liar and traitor Chris Wray as FBI Director. Bramnick comes from the same mold as Chris Christie and his RINO herd.

  3. You keep talking about marxists, Marxist agendas. Have you even read Marxist doctrine or spoken to Marxists. The Democratic Party is far from Marxist, you just want to demean their support of working folks.

  4. OldInJersey: I know what Marxists and their agenda are. I studied it in college. The Democrat Party’s agenda is the same playbook as the Ten Communist Planks by Karl Marx. Obviously, you’re deficient in knowledge of what Marxism is. Remember what Communist (Marxist) Dictator Vladimir Lenin once said: “The goal of Socialism is Communism”. And, Communism has murdered over 250 MILLION innocent people since the beginning of the 20th Century. (See Red China, former Soviet Union, North Korea, etc.) thanks to “reasonable” and “common sense” gun control that inevitably led (leads) to total gun confiscation and tyranny.
