Senator Sandy Cunningham (D-31) wanted to know if Katie Brennan believed her fellow Murphy world allies didn’t believe her, and thus did not take action.

“I think they didn’t take it seriously,” Brennan told Cunningham.

The senator lingered in the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office.

“Was there at any point that you were led to believe that they were going to go forward with the situation with Mr. Alvarez?” Cunningham wanted to know.

“They had indicated along the way things that did give me hope,” Brennan said.
