Brescher Jumps into Edison Mayor’s Race

Brescher of Edison

Sitting Councilman Richard Brescher today filed to run for mayor as an independent in Edison.

“Too many misleading promises, too much negativity,” Brescher told InsiderNJ. “I will run a clean campaign with no outside money and critique everyone’s plans for true feasibility. I do have a real record of success.”

Brescher filed to run as an independent on the same day that incumbent Mayor Tom Lankey filed.

Earlier this evening, Edison Vice Council President Sam Joshi romped to victory in the Edison Democratic Primary for mayor, crushing Mahesh Bhagia.

Also running in the November general is retired Police Officer Keith Hahn, a Republican.
