Bridgewater Mayor Hayes Gears up for 2019 Reelection Bid

A source close to the Bridgewater mayoral race told Insider NJ that the June 4th Republican Primary between Mayor Dan Hayes and challenger Councilman Matt Moench is a coin toss contest.

On August 15, Bridgewater Mayor Dan Hayes held his first major fundraising event as he seeks reelection to his third term as the Township’s Chief Executive in 2019.

The event was attended by 70 people, including Congressman Leonard Lance, Senator Kip Bateman, Senator Mike Doherty, Assemblyman John DiMaio and Bridgewater Council President Christine Henderson Rose.

Co-Chairs for the event included Senator Bateman, Somerset County GOP Chairman Al Gaburo, attorney William Savo and lobbyist Anthony Albanese.

The event raised over $28,000.
