Senator Tony Bucco (R-25) jumped into the fray of the battleground CD-11 election last night, announcing that he had “Jay Webber signs for Congress taken off of [his] lawn.”

“In all of the years I have been involved in politics I have never seen the disrespect for candidates that you may not support that you stoop to stealing and tearing up there signs as well as sending letters threatening the candidates [sic] family,” Bucco wrote on Facebook.

“It is a sad state of affairs that we have come to this in our country,” he added. “When elected officials tell you to get in there face, confront them and chase them out of restaurants or in public then we are becoming a country that will fail. We are the greatest country in the world don’t let it happen. Go out and support and vote for your candidate but don’t let your opposition to the other candidate drive you to this type of behavior. We are better then that.”
