Bucco Forms Exploratory Committee Toward CD11 Run
Assemblyman Tony Bucco (D-25) of Boonton pulled together a CD11 exploratory committee over the last 36 hours or so, which is still in formation and growing. He already has a majority of the Freeholders and a solid base of support in Morris.
Among the names that have agreed to add their name in support of Tony’s exploratory efforts so far are:
· Morris County Sheriff Jim Gannon
· Morris County Freeholder Director Doug Cabana
· Morris County Freeholder Kathy DeFillippo
· Morris County Freeholder Deb Smith
· Morris County Freeholder Heather Darling
· Morris County Clerk Ann Grossi
· Senator Tony Bucco
· Assemblyman Michael Carroll
· Denville Township Mayor Tom Andes
· Jefferson Township Mayor Russell Felter
· Morris Township Mayor Peter Mancuso
· Randolph Township Mayor Mark Forstenhausler
· New Jersey Federation of Republican Women Chair and Morris County Women’s Republican Club President Angelique Scholl
· Morris County Women’s Republican Club Vice-President Barbara Dawson
· Former Morris County GOP Chair John Sette
· Former Morris County Sheriff Ed Rochford
· Morris Victory PAC Chairman Tim Smith
· Morris Victory PAC Executive Director Rob Zwigard
· Former Morris County Young Republican Chair Joe Bock
“Rodney has been a tremendous leader for New Jersey and our nation, and his retirement was unexpected,” Bucco said, in reference to retiring U.S. Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen (R-11). ” In the 48 hours since his announcement, my wife Amy and I have been incredibly humbled by the encouragement of Republican leaders across the County who are helping us explore a run to fill Rodney’s enormous shoes in Congress.
“This exploratory committee will help me understand whether we can be successful in raising money, building a large volunteer-driven grassroots organization, and communicating a message of smaller government, a strong national defense, growing jobs, and protecting taxpayers. I’m proud to have their support and look forward to their guidance.”
