Buono Does an Endzone Dance on Twitter

Lesniak opposed Buono's choice to lead the party.

Barbara Buono, the 2013 Democratic nominee for governor, rejoiced with the news that Senate President Steve Sweeney (D-3) appears to be going down.

Run over by Republican Governor Chris Christie, Buono on Election Night condemned the New Jersey Democratic Party power structure, including South Jersey Power Broker George Norcross and Sweeney.

The former Middlesex Senator from Metuchen blamed Sweeney and Norcross for cutting deals with Christie to protect themselves and their power-sharing arrangement rather than support the Democratic nominee.

Today she made sure to publicly salute Sweeney’s apparent political demise:
