Burlington County Democrats Maintain 5-0 Control and Win Sheriff Seat
In a tough election year, Burlington County Democrats Undersheriff Jim Kostoplis and County Commissioner Allison Eckel defeated their Republican challengers.
Burlington County Democratic Chairman Joseph Andl said, “It’s clear the voters appreciate, acknowledge, and approve of the leadership in Burlington County. Burlington County Democrats know that issues of affordability, quality of life, and public safety matter to our residents, and our victories tonight are reflective of that.” Andl praised Commissioner Eckel and Sheriff-elect Kostoplis for their work ethic, message, and the manner in which they connected with the voters. “Jim and Allison worked tirelessly to communicate and connect with residents throughout the county, and these victories are well-deserved,” continued Andl. In addition to Burlington County, significant democratic wins in municipalities include Evesham, Moorestown, Maple Shade, Mount Laurel, Burlington Township and Westampton. “The Burlington County Democrats’ victories tonight are indicative that our brand of public service – which combines efficient government services and outstanding, diverse leadership – delivers winning results,” said State Senator Troy Singleton. “These results show that our Democratic values resonate with the majority of residents.”(Visited 2,425 times, 1 visits today)
