Camden County Reports 11 New COVID-19 Cases; 70 Total as of Wednesday

(Gloucester Township, NJ) –The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 11 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County on Wednesday late afternoon. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remains ongoing.

“Today we saw a small decline in the number of positive cases coming in, but we are in no way out of the woods with this virus,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “This is the time for us as a community to continue to social distance, so we can do our best to break the back of this virus and buy more time for our medical professionals to come up with medication and a vaccine to protect us all. In the interim, please keep staying at home and know that this mitigation strategy will yield successful results in saving lives.”

New Patient 3: Female, 50s, Pennsauken Township 

New Patient 4: Female, 30s, Gloucester City

New Patient 5: Female, 20s, Cherry Hill Township

New Patient 6: Male, 20s, Voorhees Township

New Patient 7: Male, 50s, Voorhees Township 

New Patient 8: Female, 50s, Cherry Hill Township

New Patient 9: Female, 70s, Cherry Hill Township

New Patient 10: Male, 70s, Cherry Hill Township

New Patient 11: Male, 60s, Winslow Township

This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 70 in Camden County today and one total fatality. At this point in time about 20% of patients inflicted by COVID-19 are being treated by one of three county health care systems.

The county Health Department is currently working with the NJDOH to trace close contacts of these newest cases. The investigations are still ongoing, and we will update the public with new developments as the information is gathered by our investigators.

As of 2pm on Wednesday March 25th, the NJDOH cites 4402 statewide COVID-19 cases, and 62 fatalities in total.
