“This virus has already taken an enormous toll on our community, and it saddens me to announce that today another soul succumbed to this sinister disease. Our thoughts and prayers remain with the families who have lost a loved one as well as those who have tested positive and are working toward recovery,” said Freeholder Louis Cappelli, Jr. “Make no mistake that as communities in other parts of the country race to reopen their economy, despite the warnings of health officials, the Freeholder Board will continue to take every action necessary to ensure the health and safety of our residents. We cannot let our desire to return to the old way of living blur our judgement and jeopardize our safety. The residents of Camden County, by and large, understand this message and have done a tremendous job fighting the spread of coronavirus. If we continue to be diligent and stay home, we will be able to return to the new normal much sooner.”
