(Gloucester Township, NJ) –The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 57 additional confirmed cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) on Thursday, April 30th, as well as 108 additional cases confirmed yesterday, April 29. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 3,108 in Camden County today and 127 total fatalities.

“We are continuing to rapidly expand testing access throughout the county and are determined to break the back of this virus once and for all, so that we can end this period of extreme social distancing,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “We do not have a clear timeframe yet regarding when our state will be able to begin to reopen, but we are seeing progress in our local doubling and growth rates. This would not be possible if Camden County residents weren’t continuing to take this seriously and following the orders signed by the governor. We are incredibly thankful for the sacrifices made by all Camden County residents, and especially those made by our front line workers and first responders.”

In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 844 confirmed cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 3,108 in 23 of our 56 long-term care facilities. At this current time 107 deaths have been reported from these facilities from our 127 total fatalities countywide.
