Camden County: Five New COVID-19 Cases Identified
From Camden County, March 19th:
(Gloucester Township, NJ) –The Camden County Department of Health is announcing additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.
“We need to be very clear that as new cases continue to be diagnosed, this does not mean social distancing isn’t working. As tests become more readily available, we will inevitably see more positive results,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli Jr. “Our team is working to identify any direct exposures to these confirmed cases, but at this juncture everyone needs to be social distancing to the greatest extent possible. The best way to protect yourself and others is to stay home, avoid crowds and large gatherings, and continue adhering to the recommended hygiene practices.”
The Department of Health is announcing five new cases of coronavirus in Camden County. The following information is currently available regarding these patients:
New Patient 1: Male, 30s, Cherry Hill. Self-isolating at home.
New Patient 2: Male, 50s, Barrington. Self-isolating at home.
New Patient 3: Female, 50s, Voorhees. Self-isolating at home.
New Patient 4: Male, 20s. Investigation just beginning.
New Patient 5: Male, 40s. Investigation just beginning.
The county Health Department is currently working with the NJDOH to trace close contacts of these newest cases. The investigations are still ongoing, and we will update the public with new developments as the information is gathered by our investigators.
