CD11 Candidate: ‘I am Not a Crook’

OGDENSBURG – The CD-11 Congressional debate pitted Assemblyman Jay Webber (R-26) against Navy veteran Mikie Sherrill, but it was independent Robert Crook who won the biggest laugh line of the event here, with an unavoidable Richard Nixon parody.

“I am not a crook,” said Crook.

The crowd at the local firehouse cracked up, but the candidate explained that his name derives from the hooked staff of a shepherd.
