In a fundraising missive sent out this afternoon, Rep. Andy Kim described anonymous phone calls that were made to voters in NJ's Third Congressional District aimed at casting doubt on Kim's trustworthiness ahead of the 2020 election.

In a fundraising missive sent out this afternoon, CD3 Rep. Andy Kim described ‘mysterious phone calls’ hitting the district in an effort to soften him up ahead of the 2020 election.

Kim write ‘this week, Republicans started reaching out to voters in New Jersey’s Third District — with anonymous phone calls attempting to persuade them that I should not be trusted. They know that my seat is a toss-up, and they are willing to do almost anything to try and win it back’.

Kim, who’s raised over $1M this year, won election in upset last November against incumbent GOP Rep. MacArthur by only a few thousand votes in the nail-biting close race.
