Former NJSDC Executive Director and East Orange Council President Chris James is heading to lobbying firm MBI.

James previously worked as Chief of Staff to then-Assemblywoman Sheila Oliver, and post-NJSDC worked with her in her capacity as LG and DCA Commissioner.

‘I have known Chris for years, and he’s highly-regarded and respected around the state. He is a leader on legislative and social justice issues, and we’re delighted to have him become part of our MBI family officially’, said MBI head Rudy Garcia.

The addition of James is the latest in a series of hires for the firm, formerly MBI-GluckShaw and now re-branded simply as MBI under Garcia’s leadership, which recently added Horizon’s Michelle Jaker as partner, the elevation of  longtime firm mainstay Danielle Alexander to partner, and the addition of Lisa Ginther to the firm, who previously worked for the Governor’s Office.
