Christie and Palatucci have Georgia on Their Minds
New Jersey Republicans are all in – for Georgia.
Chris Christie and noted Republican operative Karl Rove are scheduled to join with Bill Palatucci to host a Zoom-fundraiser Thursday at 5 p.m. to benefit Georgia’s two GOP senators, Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue. Palatucci is a national Republican committeeman and a long-time Christie associate.
Listening in comes with a rather steep price. Contribution suggestions on an electronic invite start at $1,000 and rise to $41,100.
Loeffler and Perdue are in Jan. 5 runoff elections with Democrats Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff respectively.
Runoffs are common in Georgia, but this one has huge political implications. If Democrats win both seats, they will control the Senate.
President Trump was in Georgia over the weekend for a rally that was quite the balancing act.
Trump claims the Nov. 3 election, which he lost, was “rigged.” But a “rigged” election system or not, he still urged Georgians to vote for Loeffler and Perdue on Jan.5.
Christie, as most political observers know, has called Trump’s legal challenge to the election results a national embarrassment.
Who would pay money to see those has-beens?
I don’t know who would spend money to hear them.
If I wanted to spend that kind of money, I would spend it to hear
people of substance, people I respect.
Perhaps, I would spend it on TED talks.
What’s more of an embarrassment, Chris? Chris Wray as FBI Director, the campaign Stepian ran into the ground, or you on a beach chair?
