Former Governor and current State Senator Richard J. Codey today announced his support of Vice President Joe Biden for President.

“I am proud to endorse Joe Biden for President. Our nation is at a crossroads, and I believe he is the right person to help get us back on track. Our next President will face enormous challenges, including governing a deeply divided country. Joe Biden can and will help us heal as we work to make the American Dream attainable for all of us.

“I am confident not only that he is the best candidate from a policy perspective, but that he has the steady temperament that is missing from the Oval Office right now,” added Codey. “He has worked with leaders across the country and across the aisle to do what is best for our country. He can help bring civility and honor back to the White House.

“No other candidate can match his experience on the Domestic and International stage. During his time as Vice President and also his tenure in the Senate, he has proven his leadership and ability to build consensus.

“As Democrats, our aim is to beat Trump. Vice President Biden fits the bill. He is one person we know can beat Trump.”

Codey’s endorsement of Biden follow’s CD7 Rep. Malinowski’s announcement of support for the former Vice President earlier in the week.
