Peter T. Rosario, President, Passaic Board of Education
We are deeply saddened by the loss of our friend and mentor, Ms. Zaida Polanco. On behalf of my colleagues on the Board of Education, and along with the City of Passaic and the Passaic Public Schools, we extend our condolences to Ms. Polanco’s family. First, as a School Board Commissioner, and later, as a valued member of the district leadership team, her advice and counsel has been instrumental to the success of the board, and the children of Passaic.
Pablo Muñoz, Superintendent of Schools
Passaic Public Schools is deeply saddened by the loss of Ms. Zaida Polanco, our Director of Human Resources. During Ms. Polanco’s time in our district, she shared her deep commitment to the City of Passaic, and most specifically, the children of Passaic. Her smile was a light shared by all, and she will be missed. We extend our deepest sympathy to the Polanco family and the community.
Salim Patel, Passaic Board of Education
Zaida was one of my first mentors in public service. We served together on the Board of Education and were working together in her capacity with our Passaic Public Schools. I know for certain that Zaida loved the City of Passaic and the City loved her back.
