We would like to take a moment to proudly congratulate our own Jay Lassiter, who this week won second place in the New Jersey Press Association’s (NJPA) daily editorial writing division as part of the association’s annual Better Newspaper Contest.

Jay’s InsiderNJ writing portfolio demonstrated excellence in feature writing or coverage of lifestyle and/or entertainment. According to one judge, “Mr. Lassiter is an eccentric, emotional writer. I love his honesty and openness about his past and how he incorporates it into his writing.”
