Congressman Kim Announces Negative COVID-19 Test Results

In a fundraising missive sent out this afternoon, Rep. Andy Kim described anonymous phone calls that were made to voters in NJ's Third Congressional District aimed at casting doubt on Kim's trustworthiness ahead of the 2020 election.

Today, Congressman Andy Kim (NJ-03) announced that he tested negative for COVID-19. Congressman Kim has been under self-quarantine following direct contact with a member of Congress who has tested positive for COVID-19 and received a test after exhibiting early symptoms.

“I’ve seen first-hand the stress of waiting for test results, and it shows how absolutely important it is that everyone who needs a test has access,” said Congressman Kim. “My number one priority is giving our frontline health care and emergency workers the tools they need to combat this virus. Our economy can’t recover and people can’t go back to work if we’re still fighting a pandemic. My family and I are glad to know that my test was negative, but since the threat of this virus continues for all of us, I will do everything I can to fight hard for everyone impacted by this crisis in the weeks and months to come.”

Kim has closed his DC office due to a case on the floor of the House building where his office is located.
