Craig Sicknick and Harry Dunn Endorse Mikie Sherrill for Governor

Today, Craig Sicknick and Harry Dunn endorsed Mikie Sherrill for governor, citing the need for a strong Democratic governor to stand up to attacks from Trump’s Washington. Sicknick, a native of Middlesex County, is the brother of fallen Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick, who died on January 7, 2021, after being attacked at the January 6 insurrection. Dunn is a retired Capitol Police Officer who also was attacked by rioters and testified before the House January 6 Committee.
“I wasn’t too involved in politics before January 6, 2021, but I’m doing everything I can to honor the life of my brother, Brian. Now, President Trump just pardoned those who attacked my brother and took his life — a gut punch not only to my family and other Capitol Police officers, but also to the rule of law. With an unchecked Donald Trump about to take office for another term, I know we need a governor with the backbone to stand up for New Jersey and our values, and that’s Mikie Sherrill,” said Craig Sicknick. “Mikie is somebody that is unafraid to speak truth to power — and her loyalty has always been to country and Constitution. Mikie has the integrity, vision, and courage to guide New Jersey through these next few years and I’m proud to support her in the Democratic Primary.
“Mikie Sherrill is a leader who stands for the values that unite us as Americans — a veteran who has served our country in uniform — and I hope you will join me in supporting her campaign for governor,” said Harry Dunn. “Mikie believes in accountability, transparency, and ultimately delivering for people, because that’s what public service is about. With the lawlessness already coming from Trump’s Washington, we need to rise to this moment as a country and it’s on us to elect strong Democratic governors like Mikie who will be on the front lines protecting our rights and freedoms.”

Sherrill needs to stay in Washington. She is a beltway politician. New Jersey needs a Governor who knows how to balance a budget. You do not fight Trump from Trenton. Sherrill has no qualifications regarding fiscal issues. She would be a financial apprentice and that is what we DO NOT NEED. Keep Washington people out of Trenton!
Mikie Sherrill has a black mark against her. Her family made their big money off of the backs of slavery in North Carolina and Virginia back in the late 1700s and 1800s. That’s how the Sherrill family made their money. They were slave owners.
