Currie To Seek Another Term As State Party Chair
New Jersey Democratic State Committee Chairman John Currie today released the following statement announcing his plan to seek a fourth term as the NJDSC Chairman:
“Our New Jersey Democratic State Committee is stronger now than it has ever been. Working alongside county and local Democratic leaders, we’ve invested in the tools and resources necessary to win now while also taking time to train the next generation of candidates and operatives, setting our party on a strong course for the future. We’ve also done more to build our progressive coalition than ever before, working side-by-side with dozens of grassroots organizations led by women who are making an incredible impact, as well as labor groups, faith leaders and everyday residents who want to take back our country.
“There is still much more to be done, especially with even more consequential elections looming, which is why I’m excited to announce that I will seek a new term as NJDSC Chairman to continue that important work. I know that if our party can come together around our shared values and ideals we can continue making a difference in the lives of New Jersey residents and I invite all Democrats to join me in that mission.”
Currie became Democratic chair in 2013.
