De Gregorio Proud of Campaign
Vanquished by Frank Pallotta in the CD-5 Republican Primary, Nick De Gregorio offered the following statement:
“Last November, with my young family in tow, I stepped down from a well-paying job and announced my candidacy for United States Congress. It was a risk I felt I needed to take for my country. For seven months, we tirelessly made our case to the voters. Early this morning, it became clear that they opted to go a different direction. It is a decision I respect. Congratulations to Frank Pallotta. I urge my supporters to get behind Frank and the Republican ticket this Fall. “There can be no victory without unity. With the primary done and dusted, the real fight for the soul of America now begins. Our true opponent is not our fellow Republican. It is not our fellow American citizen. It is inflation, it is taxation, it is the marginalization of our parents, police, and veterans. We are witnessing American decline, and we must act now—united—to stop it. “In victory we realize our potential, but in defeat we realize who we are. I am proud of the campaign I ran, and of the people who helped me run it. Seven days a week, we gave it everything we had. I now look forward to spending those days with my wife and kids again.” |
