DEADLOCKED: Another Note from Menendez Trial Jury Reveals No Movement

NEWARK – The jury in Sen. Bob Menendez’s corruption trial says it is hopelessly deadlocked again and cannot reach a verdict.

Jurors sent the judge a note around 11:30 a.m. saying they are “not willing to move away from their strong convictions.”

Judge William Walls will now decide whether to declare a mistrial.

This was the first communication by jurors since Monday, when the foreman signed off on the first note saying that the panel was deadlocked.

The only other note from jurors was a request for clarification on the role of a U.S. senator contained in the closing argument of defense attorney Abbe Lowell.

This is a developing story. Stay with InsiderNJ for details.
