Councilman Mike DeFusco this afternoon formally began his big to unseat incumbent Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer.

“I’m tired,” he said in a video that went up on his website today.

“I know we can be be better, faster, and more efficient in responding to the critical issues are community faces, and I believe it’s time for a change, which is why I have decided to challenge the status quo and announce my candidacy for mayor,” DeFusco said in the video.

The candidate wants to truncate Zimmer’s efforts at securing a third term in office.
