DeGise Arrives; Stack Ally Says She has 293 Jersey City Commitments – but will they Hold?

KEARNY – On the sidewalk outside the local high school here where committee members began to mobilize ahead of this evening’s Hudson County Democratic Organization (HCDO) powwow, Jersey City Democratic Committee Chair Barbara Stamato told InsiderNJ that has 293 commitments for Union City Mayor Brian P. Stack.

Now she knows not only those people are rock solid.

Maybe she loses 40 of them.

The loss of 40 might be too much for Stack to overcome.

But if they hold…

if they hold, 293 might be too many for Jersey City School Board Memebr Amy DeGise to overcome.

DeGise showed up here at around 4:45 p.m.

“I just hope it’s peaceful,” she said, as a soundtrack planted here by her HCDO allies continued to spew the area with the sounds of Stack’s voice proclaiming Republican Chris Christie as “the best governor New Jersey’s ever had.”

“For the right price, he’ll betray the Democratic Party again,” a voice over intoned.

“Christie! Christie! Christie!”

Former Assemblyman Sean Connors – a DeGise backer – said he thinks the pro teacher’s union message DeGise drove in this contest will help her with committee members who have public job connections.

Soon the doors would open and they would go inside.
