Democrat Rebecca Bennett Launches Congressional Campaign in New Jersey’s 7th District

U.S. Navy veteran and nationally recognized healthcare business leader Rebecca Bennett will run for the Democratic nomination for Congress in New Jersey’s 7th District next year. A working mom of two young daughters, Rebecca served in the Navy for over a decade as a helicopter pilot and aircraft commander. While in the service, she earned her M.B.A., with honors, from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, and started her family. Now she is a recognized business leader, working with mission-driven startups to advance healthcare opportunities for all Americans.

“I've always been driven by public service, a commitment to helping others, and a mission-first mindset—from serving in the Navy to driving innovation in healthcare. Those same values now fuel my campaign to represent the people of the 7th District,” said Bennett. “In this time when so many people are feeling uncertainty, fear, or apathy about our political system, I believe that it is critical for a new generation of leaders to step forward and do the work needed to solve problems and support the middle class. I’m running for Congress to fulfill that mission, and I’m looking forward to meeting with voters to share my vision and listen to their concerns and hopes for the future.”

The Bennett for Congress campaign is releasing an announcement video this morning highlighting Rebecca’s lifetime of public service and commitment to making New Jersey more affordable, creating better job opportunities and working across the aisle to make government work better for everyone: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=toY9XHxu6Qg

Agree with the above comment. Kean Jr. Is nothing more than another Republican who is willing to close his eyes when it comes to the January 6th insurrection. Those criminals were all pardoned while many of our bravest veterans who went on to serve in the FBI or counter-intelligence are getting fired by Elon Musk, the Nazi sympathizer ,whose only qualification is that he gave a LOT of money to Donald Trump.. Kean Jr. has shut his eyes to all of this, and even voted several times for "election deniers" as House Majority Leaders.. The oath of Office is not worth the paper it was printed on to Kean Jr, and all the other Trump enablers! Count me in to help defeat Kean Jr. In the next election

Welcome Rebecca , We desperately need a representative to push back against Trump’s attacks on our democracy & rule of law. Trump has : -Pardoned 1500 domestic terrorist who attacked our Capitol with the intent of overturning our election and a peaceful transfer of power -purposely attacked our Constitution via executive order negating Birthright Citizenship -usurped Congressional power via Elon Musk’s DOGE efforts -put our Nation at high risk by placing unqualified nominees in vital roles of our government. - dismissed career government employees with total disregard to employee rights and due process The list goes on. Tom Kean has not the courage to fight for our Nation. Sadly he is a puppet. I wish you success…….our Nation needs your help.

I live in NJ7. She seems a better bet than daddy’s baby Kean Jr.

  4. Michael F Schnackenberg says:

FV, do you mean like Herschel Walker and Dr. Oz? Or does your rationale only apply to Democrats?

  5. Matt M says:

"FV" according to NJ Globe she lives in Montgomery which is immediately adjacent to the District in Somerset County, and she has promised to move across town lines if she wins. The carpetbagger argument falls flat when it's such a small difference. And for the record Rep. Mikie Sherrill lived just outside of CD11 until redistricting, and in 2020 her republican opponent lived a town outside as well.

  6. FV says:

She lives in CD-12. Is she going to move to CD-7? That makes her a carpet bagger.
