Garwood Councilwoman Sara Todisco (pictured) announced that she will challenge incumbent Democratic incumbent Mayor Charles Lombardo (pictured, at right) in the June Primary.

Todisco mailed a letter to registered Democrats last week declaring her interest in the post.

Todisco and Lombardo ran together on the same ticket as recently as 2014.

Previously a Garwood councilman from 1987 to 2007, Lombardo now hopes to fend off the Chatham school teacher.
