NBC4’s I-Team investigative reporter Jonathan Dienst has his sites set on North Bergen with a report alleging that certain apartments in the Housing Authority are given to Mayor Sacco’s political supporters, according to six insiders cited in the report.

The report also includes allegations of workers being pressed by higher-ups to buy tickets to the mayor’s fundraisers.

Dienst previously reported on the Housing Authority’s security director being fired amid a corruption probe last month (read here), and had led the investigation into overtime abuse in the City of Paterson, which ultimately led to the downfall and imprisonment of former Mayor Joey Torres.
