EAST ORANGE – Essex County Executive Joe DiVincenzo said Democratic front-runner Phil Murphy shouldn’t get hung up on getting into firefights with other candidates in the Democratic Primary for governor.

“He’s got to stay focused on November,” DiVincenzo told InsiderNJ. “If he has a primary, it won’t be much of one.”

This past week, the Murphy Campaign released a mail piece attacking Assemblyman John Wisniewski’s (D-19) position  on guns.  Although Murphy has the support of all the northern Democratic Party chairs, Wisniewski did eke out the backing of the Princeton Democratic Club last week.
