Doug Emhoff Gives Former Home New Jersey a Spirited Shout-out

Vying for the job of First Gentleman, Doug Emhoff gave a shout-out to New Jersey tonight from the stage of the Democratic National Convention.

“Where’s New Jersey?” Emhoff asked, to applause from the New Jersey Delegation.

Imhoff has ties to the Garden State.

Before his father moved the Imhoff Family to California, the future entertainment lawyer and husband of Kamala Harris grew up in Matawan and Old Bridge Township. He went to Cedar Ridge High School and attended Temple Shalom, a Reform synagogue in Aberdeen.

  1. Also grew up in Matawan. A sleepy small town. Members of Temple Shalom. Dad was only Jewish Doctor in the day, physician to schools, NJ Railroad. The Emhoffs were way after our time. A good basis for any and all politicians, division of political parties allowed residents to think for themselves. I can only imagine times have changed.
