Morristown Mayor Tim Dougherty, at a gala holiday fest at the Grand Cafe last night in town, gave a ringing endorsement to Tammy Murphy in her bid for the U.S. Senate:

” Ladies and gentlemen, friends and supporters, we have with us tonight a serious candidate for the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate who I’m proud to present to you: New Jersey’s First Lady and our friend Tammy Murphy.

” Tammy is an extraordinarily accomplished woman who shares our ideals and values and will work hard for working families and the children  of our state.

“Tammy is the best choice to diversify our congressional delegation in Washington and she offers us a life time record of experience, both domestically and abroad.

“Tammy, as our state’s First Lady, is well versed in the issues that impact our towns and cities and as the proud mayor of this wonderful municipality, I wholeheartedly endorse her candidacy.”
