Edison Dems Pick Council Candidates; Shah Falls Short

The Edison Democrats convened tonight to pick their three council candidates.  Incumbent Councilmen Bob Diehl and Alvaro Gomez, along with Sam Joshi, were the top vote-getters.

As expected, incumbent Councilwoman Sapana Shah didn’t have the votes to survive on the line.  Once a vital part of New Jersey politics as the lone South Asian woman on Edison’s Council, Shah ran unsuccessfully for 18th District Assembly last year in the face of party choice Councilman Robert Karabinchak.
